Graffiti sushi 31Mar08

Grafitti sushi

I just so want to know what the artist of this tag/graffiti piece where thinking when they made this. They were hungry probably, or at least became hungry. The photographer tells the story of the photo: “I was in L.A. visiting my grandmother. I saw this truck parked in front of her building, so walking up to the stairs I turned around to see if there was any graffiti on the other side of this truck, and there was! I loved it! The first thought that jumped onto my head was “This is what I call graffiti”. I asked the man if he knew the person who did this and he said “No, I don’t, they just came one night and gave me this free art” I laughed and asked him if he was going to remove it and he said “No, I’m not going remove it”

Argyle Academy

We found these cute drawings of a sushi eating vampire cat on a website called “The Argyle Academy”. It is the name of the school where Lionel, the Vampire cat and his friends (an octopus named Matthew, a little birdie name Alexander, and others) attend. A few years back The Argyle Academy decided they needed a web page that talked all about the school, and they asked Lionel to build one for them. He ended up making the site pretty much about him, and argyleacademy.com turned into his journal. The school staff is too nice to say anything to him about it.

Dinnerware set for one

“Download” a dinnerware set for one, is a suppose to be a comment on technology and our lives. The artist Yosoh says;

“I once saw a 1960’s science program that proclaimed computers would simplify our lives bringing a 4 day work week. I can only speak for myself, computers have had the opposite affect. Most of my meals are spent in front of the computer. The pace of our lives seems to be spinning out of control. “Download” is dedicated to the individuals whose dining companions are often their computers.

Neon sushi - sushi signs from all over

A lot of sushi bars have a neon signs to signalize to us desperate night wanderers where we can get our fill. I have tried to understand how to evaluate the quality of sushi from the sign outside, but I think that I need some more experience from more sushi populated areas like the US or Japan.

Tatty Divine - MySims Sushi Bag

I love playing the Wii! The EA Games MySims™ almost just arrived in Norway, so I have not yet tried it out. To celebrate the launch of MySims, EA Games commissioned four hot UK fashion designers to create a dual-purpose capsule collection.

The designs were to reflect the core values of the game MySims™ - self expression, customisation, creativity and collectability - when they created a dual-purpose capsule collection. Tatty Divine designed the My Sims Sushi Bag - designed to perfectly carry your Wiimote on the go, Tatty Divine’s exclusive bag takes design inspiration from MySim’s sushi chef, and features hundreds of glittering Swarovski crystals. The asking price will be £150…
