We found out about this place from the Internet. It is located on the small island next to the one with the Notre Dame. It seems to be a very popular place among the Japanese in Paris, which is always a good way of telling where to get good sushi and sashimi. They say that delicacies made with sea urchins and eels are popular here.
When we went by there the first time it was packed, when we came there the second time they were about to close and when we tried to order in advance they were not going to be open that day, so no Isami for us. I still recommend it though.
Also considered to be one of Paris’s best Japanese restaurants, this restaurant gives you access to fresh and quite good sushi and sashimi. The menu gives you an impression of it being foremost a tempura place, and those dishes made ideal choices as well. We had a bit of each. You can choose between different sizes menus to taste different specialties.
Look and feel in the restaurant is modern, but their hard wood chairs were not very comfortable after a hard day of sightseeing and shopping.
