There’s nothing fishy going on here. We’re on a roll… a sushi roll that is. The giant sushi maki roll is a real favorite of sushi bars and sushi lovers! Nearly a foot wide and 16 inches tall, this sturdy resin sushi seat features highly detailed nori (black seaweed) wrapped around sushi rice, colorful cucumber pieces, and bright salmon roe.

At the restaurant Zauo in Kagawa-ken, Shikoku Japan, you actually have to first catch your sushi before getting to eat it! Parts of the restaurant is shaped like a boat from where you stand and try to to catch your dinner. In the water there are 10 different kinds of fish - from lobsters to mackerel.

This game was quite fun! You are a sushi chef again, and you are of course suppose to please your guests. They are demanding and you need to do a good job and not produce sushi “crap”. Like I kept on doing… So look in the recipe book if you are uncertain, and go be the Itamae of the evening!
