Review text: En excellent restaurant which came highly recommended at our hotel, blew us away with regards to the overall experince. This consisting of excellent and friendly service, delicate presentation and fantastic domestic wine.
The sushi it self was a marvel of craftsmanship where several parts where put togheter in a way I’ve never seen before in Norway. Even tough Alex Sushi in Norway is fantastic, there is just something about Beluga that was even better.
The people eating consiting of business people to couples, all seemed to enjoy the buzz that gave the place a cozy athmosphere, while I think of Alex as correct, and somwhat more “stringent”, while Beluga was more informal and playful - wiothout giving in for lack in service or quality.
Another thing is value for money - coming from Norway a night at Beluga comes off as quite cheap spening less than 600 NOK, we both had trouble finishing the delicious dessert, that was a Belgian chocolate/icecream/fondant-thingy..This is a place I’ll come back to, and almost a reason for it self to visit Cape Town..
(Editors note: Beluga also made the top 10 in EAT OUT the Best of Seafood)
