Designer sushi roller
27Apr09

Another attempt at re-inventing the wheel and the Japanese bamboo mat in making maki sushi. For the fun of it we pretend to like it, because it is such a silly looking sushi roller machine. It is made by Germans by the designers from studio Osko + Deichmann. It will showcase in June at the Kitchen Ecology Exhibition in Los Angeles.
The step by step is a bit off what you normally do when making maki, adding the nori seems kind of like an afterthought.
But what do you think? Want one?

They’ve been using this design for cigarette rollers for ages, but it’s good to see it applied to a more healthful and enjoyable purpose!
Wow…I think I’d like to have one just for the novelty of it. It’s such an interesting looking contraption.
I too have seen this design as a cigarette roller. But not used for Tobacco.
