I have not been very active on Twitter yet, but I have to say I like it. It gives me a heads up on a lot of things going on in the Internet business, and I get to read stuff that some of the foremost inventors of tomorrows online world is concerned with - as soon as they have read it. On top of Twitter and their feeds and open API´s, there are several of applications being built. Some of them useful. Here is one that is maybe not too useful, but fun to pay attention to - Foodfeed.
The inventors of this feed themselves say that “It’s not really useful. It’s just fun. And if you can make something useful out of it, we would be happy ;)” The concept is just to tell others what you are eating. In order to be able to update you have to have a Twitter account. Then you add the user “having” as a friend (search for Foodfeed). To do that, just click at the “follow” button on his Twitter page. After that, just send a reply or a direct message to him, in one of the two formats:
So - a great way of telling others about your sushi habits, and get info on others having sushi too!
FoodFeed was created by Vitor Lourenço, a 20 year old interaction designer from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. He did it using a bit of PHP+MySQL and the Twitter API.
