Right next to Phero sushi you find Grand Sushi. That there is a market for these two sushi take out places up here in addition to Sushihuset just a bit further down on Carl Berners Plass is a mystery, but they are all doing ok it seems like.
Of the three I think I like Grand Sushi the best. It smells clean, the fish is properly kept and laid out, the service is friendly and quite fast, so as a take out place on my way from work, it works very well.
Being a bit pregnant these days, I sort of stay away from raw, exotic fish types, and order only what I can trust will be of good quality. I very often end up with a few pieces of salmon and some rolls with cooked stuff in places like this. Which is fine for a while. And here that is actually a good meal. Their salmon was fresh, the rice not too sweet, the size of the rolls were not too big and their shrimp tempura was crunchy and good.
(Sorry about the bad quality of the photos. The iPhone needs to shape up!)
Summary:
Clean, fast and friendly. A good take out sushi place. My favorite in this area.
