House of Sushi has three restaurants in Oslo. They claim that this is their flag ship restaurant, and being quite happy with their one in Skøyen, I was looking forward to going here. I was not let down as such, but…
What we had was all just - mmyeah - I don’t know; Just another sushi place doing what everyone else is doing - not excelling in any way - taste wise or presentation wise. Not inspired, and therefore not very inspiring.
Their fish in general was good, the tempura maki was crunchy and they probably saw it on me that they should not hold back on the ginger and also I liked the taste of their house special futo maki with tempura and spicy tuna. That was good.
But - their work was not so good. The futo maki was not filled enough, so they were falling apart when eating and yeah - it was just not up to standards.
Summary:
Just another sushi place. Good food, but nothing extraordinary.
