We found out about this place from the Internet. It is located on the small island next to the one with the Notre Dame. It seems to be a very popular place among the Japanese in Paris, which is always a good way of telling where to get good sushi and sashimi. They say that delicacies made with sea urchins and eels are popular here.
When we went by there the first time it was packed, when we came there the second time they were about to close and when we tried to order in advance they were not going to be open that day, so no Isami for us. I still recommend it though.
It is a very small, but cosy restaurant, and if we had gotten in to try their food, I would have liked to sit by the sushi bar looking at the chef playing with his knives…
Summary:
I will have to go back to get in and try their food too…
