Jonoe Sushi is a new and very good sushi and asian restaurant located on the west side - in Vinderen, Oslo.
It is founded by two of the star chefs from Alex Sushi and House of Sushi.
Jonoe is a perfect and popular place for lunch, so be sure to book a table in advance.
Sadly they still close a bit early in the evening some of the days (20.00) but you’ll still be alowed to finish you’re coffe… I would say the quality of the sushi is among the three best in Oslo.

Pål beat me to this place, so I have to post my review as a comment! Great job, Pål, and thank you for your review!
Here’s mine.
I finally got to go to Jonoes yesterday and it was a real treat! Finally meeting chefs who actually care about that they serve proper sushi were so relieving because it is so rare in this town.
We briefly got to say hi to Jonathan, one of the sushi chefs, who just let it be up to him what we were having. Yess! Wonderful! Their salmon and halibut sashimi in ponzu sauce just melted in your mouth. We all got a set of nigiri sushi, marinated scampi salad and seared tuna. All of which were both beautifully presented and tasted fantastic. Their avocado decorated maki - ahh, I am such a sucker for shrimp tempura maki…
I agree with Pål in that this is one of the best sushi places in town. I will definitely go back! Often! Alex Sushi, Nodee, Jonoes… My new top three list in Oslo!
Perfection ! great sushi. Best i`ve ever had !!!!!
Actually Jonoe has really excellent sushi.
But I have a few criticisms.
Their menu is a copy of Alex Sushi - it is identical. If you are going to make something great, you should at least be able to make your own thing. Not surprising actually, considering that the chef used to work at Alex. But.. He should at least have made his own thing. And why do they have to serve the same thing for years!?
That said, the copy is as good and more filling. And the place doesn’t have the terribly arrogant money/cocaine idiot feeling that Alex’s clientele brings.
In addition to that, there are the really annoying young children who have no manners whatsoever that serve food and drinks. They massage each other in front of the guests and act like stupid kids.
Is it even legal for under-age children to serve alcohol ?
The Sushi is great but it is to expencive.
Then you should go to LeMeo Sushi in Pilestredet 31:

It is not a beautiful restaurant. But they are quick, the sushi is excellent and cheap.
