There is a comic book in Japan called (something like) Sushi Chef Kirara’s Job. It’s about a girl brought up by a famous sushi chef after her mother dies when she is young. So she grows up in the sushi shop and learns everything there is to know about the job as a sushi chef and the ways of traditional sushi - old style. So - when the old man gets sick and must close the shop, she reopens it.

She wants to prove that the old style sushi is best by participating to win on the Sushi Battle 21 on TV.

She of course wins the tournament after fighting with the evil chief rival Sakamaki who pumps iron at the gym as part of his sushi training… Funny. He is big and dressed in black. She in small and in white. I feel the urge to cheer for Kirara…

But - she is cool. I wish I could read more Japanese so I could understand the comic.
It’s a good way to practice I guess.
