Kitty’s Sushi is a very nice sushi place. It is reasonably cheap and have an extensive menu. The service is sometimes a bit snappy, but most of the time we get along fine. I like that it is central in Grünerløkka, and the prices are ok. I wish they had a bit more japanese style flatware and presentation skills.
We ordered a sashimi moriawase that had a tempura squid as a starter, miso soup and the plate itself came with scallops, ikura, red clam, octopus, yellow tail, butterfish, tuna, salmon, shrimps and also included rice which is necessary when you have sashimi. We also ordered tempura, softshell crab and spicy tuna makis.
The butterfish was also here a bit watery, the octopus unshewable and the softshell crab a bit of a let down, but the rest was very good! All of this was too much food for us, which very seldom is the case. We could have ordered a lot less.
Summary:
This is a ok sushi place in an good location in Grünerløkka. You do not get the japanese feeling at all, but I like the food.
