For those who are already on Second Life (and those looking for a reason to be on it), you now have a chance to go and have nyotaimori (naked sushi) at an avant-garde virtual sushi restaurant named Inachi. The platter features an artistic arrangement of finely-priced sushi adorning the nude avatar body of the virtual celebrity Codebastard Redgrave (!??)
I gave up on becoming a Second Life gamer (or gamer in general) a long time ago, so I don’t know either the place or this celebrity they talk of, but I find it amusing that the trend of naked sushi also have hit the virtual world. We have previously covered the first sushi bar on SL, so the online crowd is already familiar with virtual sushi. This Saturday they will aim to sell all the sushi pieces, and they think the sum of it will be about L$1,000,000!
She will be uncovered by her audience as every “edible piece” of this virtual culinary sculpture is sold off in a single fundraiser to benefit the SL Shakespeare Company. So, go see Codie get “naked” and support virtual art! The presentation opens to the public at 1 PM PDT on Saturday, March 21st at the Blackfriars Theatre.
