Another tool that will help you make sushi into “fast food”… We already featured the sushi roller last year. This time it is some sort of a tube that will make your makis ready and shoved out in a heartbeat. Hmm.
Here is the sales pitch from the maker:
“Make Perfect Sushi Rolls Every Time!
No guesswork, no trial-and-error–make delicious professional-looking sushi rolls at home in just three easy steps. Stuff the sushi maker with rice, choose your filling, and push the plunger to extrude perfectly formed rolls. Use your own fresh fillings of meat, seafood, vegetables, etc. for healthy and nutritious sushi rolls anytime. Easy to clean, compact to store.”
But, but… Sushi is about tradition, love for the smell of the rolling mat, the trade of the sushi chef… I will still stick to the old fashion way, but hey - if it makes YOU get going making your own makis at home… then go for it. It’s yours for only $24.98

Hey!
Very cool blog you have started. I like the design and especially your logo.
A new kit has been launched in Norway now which is called Sushisi. I have bought so many sushi making sets and been around to find all the commodities needed to make sushi.
What I found great about Sushisi is that it is a complete set of ingredients so that you can make everything yourself - and it is so easy! and the fish is of top quality as well. For you guys living in Norway this is something you have to try. For others: I have heard they might go internationally with this kit. Love it!
Hello Maddy - and welcome to SOD. Thanks for your compliments! I will tell my boyfriend you liked the logo. I do too.
We’ve actually been around a while - celebrating two years in a couple of weeks. I agree - Sushisi is great sushi set, and a good substitute for other type fast food you find i the grocery store. We actually went to the launch of the concept. You can see our review here:
