Some think this is a heresy to the Japanese tradition, but the truth is that it is a huge success and there have been several television channels making documentaries on its origin (Tokyo TV, Asahi TV…). Others have also tried to reproduce it.
I guess it is just as much a heresy to the French Crêpes tradition? It is good to also push traditions though. The chefs here at the restaurant chain “Planet Sushi” are the ones that came up with the recipe for this maki. Planet Sushi have restaurants in Paris, Miami and in Ibiza - all the sushi capitals of the world…
“To have the idea to wrap the most famous paste spread with a maki roll is one thing, but the receipe development is another. The whole mystery of our chefs turns around its subtly sweet wrapping and its irresistibly melting heart with the famous hazelnut taste enhanced with coconut rice pudding.”
The Nutella Maki is available in two versions at the Planet Sushi restaurants: the Banana Nutella Maki and the Strawberry Nutella Maki. As a dessert, both sounds quite yummy.

no way så kult
This IS heresy! But it also looks delicious. Nutella crepes have always been pretty messy… until now!
Looks delicious, too bad I don’t live near one of those restaurants.
French Crêpes have always been boring, but adding this little twist has given this dull dish life once again.
Man oh man that looks tasty but I have never had it!
I have never been to a Planet Sushi, I will have to try and hunt one down.
