Sushi Time

In 1993 Noriko Kuwabara started making sushi clocks. She thought she could just buy small sushi pieces and glue on a sushi tray, but ended up having to make every piece by hand.

She makes around 20 clocks in three weeks time, so they are quite unique. She uses polymer clay for the basic shapes, then paint with acrylic and put varnish on at the end. As she says - “It is very time consuming, but I still enjoy making these pieces.” I am not sure if I would want one, but they are definitely a novelty.
